On Monday I'll be heading to Chicago to attend and participate in the CMO Conference that ALM (formerly Incisive... formerly ALM... more on that in another post) has been producing for the past 5 years.
The conference attendees (as the name indicates) are high-level marketers at the AmLaw 200. They include both marketing partners and non-lawyer marketers and always proves to be informative and provocative. This year I'm especially excited to hear what law firm marketing dpeartments are hearing and doing in terms of alternative billing arrangements.
I have the honor and sincere pleasure of moderating the second session of the day on Tuesday where Kristin Sudholz from Drinker Biddle, and Tasneem Goodman from Katten will discuss "Weathering the Economic Storm." From my recent conversations with them, they are both incredibly intelligent and successful professionals. I'm very much looking forward to the panel.
Also on Monday we will be releasing the results via press release of the 2008 Survey of Law Firm Economics. I will post on that separately on Monday
If you are in Chicago and attending the conference, I hope I'll see you there.
