ALM’s Philadelphia-based newspaper, The Legal Intelligencer, reported recently that Duane Morris’s revenue and profits per equity partner (PPP) were “up sharply” in 2005. According to reporter Gina Passarella, the firm reported a 9.8% increase in revenue and an increase in profits per equity partner of more than 18 percent. Firm Chairman Sheldon Bonovitz, who Passarella interviewed for the article, predicted the number of attorneys will increase through a merger within the next few years -- most likely in New York, Chicago or D.C. -- with an eye toward having the 600-attorney firm hit the 1,000-lawyer mark. Read on. Archival data about Duane Morris’s financials is available from ALM Research.
