A new survey from PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Outsourcing Comes of Age: The Rise of Collaborative Partnering reports that not only is outsourcing alive and well, but it is growing, maturing and evolving to deliver value well beyond cost savings. PwC says that the survey “confirms the growing complexity of outsourcing from changes in the customer / supplier relationship to the emergence of new stakeholders and new governance models. Successful outsourcing no longer simply entails a buyer and a supplier – a new model of outsourcing is required: collaboration.” The report is available at no cost in PDF format by clicking on the link above.
The 2006 Law Firm Outsourcing Survey report is still available from ALM Research Online, in both PDF format and print format. The survey, the first of its kind, conducted by ALM Research with the assistance of J. Mark Santiago, president of the International Co Sourcing Group (www.jmsicg.com), examines the outsourcing of operational and administrative functions of law firms in areas including human resources, document production and management, IT support, and finances.
